Stories from between two worlds.

I grew up in a country that no longer exists. I write about family, survival, and the long road back to health — in short sentences, and without decoration.

Invest in Your Health:
A Practical Philosophy of Metabolic Freedom

Part one dismantles the false beliefs. Part two explains how your body actually works, in plain language. The rest is the method — what I did, what I measured, and what changed. No guru talk. Just the work.

My mother, front, with my cousin. Behind them, the family — some of them you will meet in the book.

Yugoslavia, 1980s. In front of the burek shop — from the world of Between Two Flags.

Skinny ties and one red carnation. Some of these stories made it into the book.

About the author

I was born in a country that no longer exists. That sentence explains most of my writing.

I write memoir, humor and books about health from the Slovenian coast. I believe in short sentences, honest stories, and checking the evidence yourself. My books are written the way I'd tell it to you across a table — no decoration, no filler.

When I'm not writing, I'm probably reading studies nobody asked me to read.
